Neonatal ICU is manned with Highly Qualified & Experienced Neonatologists, Skilled & Compassionate nursing staff. We provide care to all kinds of problems in new-born including care of extremely premature infants, Paediatric Accident, Trauma & Emergency and Acute and Critical Care Paediatrics. Paediatric ICU at People Tree Hospitals is headed by a Senior Paediatric Intensivists and team of domain expertise doctors. The Department has immense experience of successfully treating many serious conditions in children and neonates over the years.

PAEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (PICU)
The Children’s ICU at PEOPLE TREE Paediatrics is a state-of the art Paediatric Intensive Care facility caters to almost the entire spectrum of critical illnesses in children. With a 14-bed capacity, this is the largest dedicated Children’s ICU facility in North Bengaluru.
Our specialist PICU team of post fellowship doctors are competent in handling various acute emergencies. Our facilities including mechanical ventilation [including high frequency ventilation], haemodialysis, invasive haemodynamic monitoring, bedside ultrasound and ECHO and bronchoscopy services make us wellequipped for any criticality. We handle a spectrum of critical medical conditions like respiratory failure, shock, critical infections, haematoon-cological emergencies, status asthmaticus, status epilepticus, multi organ dysfunction, poisoning as well as paediatric trauma and various complex postoperative cases. The dedicated paediatric nursing team is competent and has a culture of family-centric compassionate care.

NEONATAL INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (NICU)
The NICU is a 10-bed tertiary unit that manages any neonatal emergency. Being the parent unit for our busy and high-end Fetal Medicine Department we manage very high risk deliveries.
Extremely low birth weight babies, rematurity, multiple gestations, congenital anomalies that required neonatal surgeries, babies born after Fetal procedures, spectrum of respiratory diseases of the newborn, neonatal infections and metabolic diseases have been successfully managed. Our neonatologists have a sensitive and evidence-based approach and work closely with the Fetal medicine and obstetric team providing comprehensive perinatal care. The highly skilled paediatric surgeons with expertise in neonatal surgery complete the team. The facility includes well equipped delivery resuscitation bay, transport incubator apart from standard neonatal equipment like ventilators including high frequency and variety of non invasive ventilators [Bubble CPAP AIRVO HFNC with blender] and phototherapy devices. Bedside USG ECHO X-Ray and various diagnostics improve the outcomes. Our to say, is a strong proponent of breast feeding and Kangaroo Mother Care.
The nursery is staffed by an array of specially trained & certified physicians, nurses, & other sub Specialty consultants. We are equipped with dedicated NICU ventilators, High Flow Oxygen System, Bubble CPAP, Phototherapy units, Warmers, Feeding Rooms etc.
