Heart Bypass Surgery
Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery, commonly referred to as ‘bypass surgery’ , is a surgical procedure wherein patient’s own arteries / veins are used to bypass the blocked segment and joined to healthy part beyond the block. This ensures improved supply of oxygenated blood to the heart; otherwise the heart fails to pump blood and can lead to heart failure. Depending on the number of
blocked coronaries, surgery can be Single Vessel Bypass, Double Bypass, Triple Bypass or Quadruple Bypass
